Hi,
just interested to know if there are other parents who would consider buying second hand bottles (but brand new teats)?
thanks
i had a few that we didnt use i would have if the teats werent more expensive than the bottle we bought lol
I sold some but they had barely been used. I would really consider buying them myself as I know how ours get treated, unless you could see their condition before paying for them
I got some 2nd hand ones from a BB member, they hadn't been used much though and were in great condition. I probably wouldn't onsell them though as I've given them a fair workout! If they've hardly been used then I would, but if they have had regular/heavy use I would probably consider buying new bottles instead.
Thanks for your advice. seen some on ebay 7 tommee tippee bottles for $20 but i think i might just buy some new ones.
I cant see the problem as long as you sterilize them
I personally would be concerned if they are actually used second hand rather than new but second hand IYKWIM. The acrylic can get tiny cracks in it that cannot be cleaned & are a breeding ground for germs because of the warm milk in them which can't be cleaned out. Usually they are little scratches that look like tiny spider webs.
This is the reason it's recommended to check the bottles before every use & why they say to replace them every few months (I don't remember how often though, haven't used bottles for 4 years!).
