Zoton for reflux
DD2 was put on zoton for her reflux today
Ive been telling myself for a while now that DD is small but hoping she was just pettite
I put her on the scales today and got a bit of a shock so I took her to the doctors...she is in the 10th percentile :shakehead: she isnt just a happy chucker like my other 2
Ive given her panadol before only .9mls and that was a battle so goodness knows how im going to get her to take 6mls of Zoton tomorrow :wall:
She has to go back in 3 weeks for a check up to see if she is gaining more so fingers crossed

first dose not too bad i waited until she was hungry so she only spat out a bit although i noticed lots of the beady things stayed in the syringe?? maybe tomorrow ill try a different one
-
 todays dose was horrible...she has worked out how to spit it out and she screamed the whole time :wall: makes 6mls feel like 6litres :wall: would be bearable if i'd noticed some change in her but none yet :shakehead:

Zoton for reflux
I know someone in my mothers group that went through this. It took exactly 10 days for the medication to take effect. Hang in there it will improve.

Hey POF, hang in there hun  My DD also has reflux, but she is on Zantac. Like Milly, she also used to spit it out, but now she happily takes it. It took about a week to have any effect, and after 2 weeks, she was like a brand new baby.

we've had a bad day today :wall: i have spew in my hair, all over my 3 changes of clothes and I lost count of how many times i changed Milly :wall:
Should I take her back to doctors or just give meds more time to work?? im not expecting the meds to be a quick fix but today just seemed like its getting worse not better:wall:

Oh hun, big  for you and Milly. I'm no expert by any means, so not sure what you should do. If it was me, I would prob book a drs apt for Monday, and that way give it the rest of this week to see how things progress. I really hope it kicks in soon for both your sakes
ETA: Just remembered that a girl at mothers group gives her DD medication in a bottle. Not sure how u r feeding, but either way, you could mix the meds in with EBM or formula and try give it to Milly that way to ensure that she is actually ingesting the required dose. Just an idea....
