Recurrent early miscarriage - anyone else?

Hi all!
Wondering if anyone can help me - give me some insight into what may be going on and what worked for TTC after recurrent early miscarriage.

I have miscarriages so early it feels almost silly to call them miscarriages. I get a BFP and then 2 - 5 days later I start bleeding.

I woke up to a low temp today after a BFP on Monday so am expecting bleeding to start today or tomorrow. This is the 4th time it's happened since TTC this time around. I also have long and irregular cycles - not sure if that's a factor in the miscarriages as well.

Has anyone else had similar experiences? Do you know what causes it and is there anything you've tried, been prescribed etc that has helped?

Hannah - So sorry you are going through this. When I was going through my m/c's after having 2 perfectly fine pgcy's I went and saw my GP. She gave me a referral to OB who was very helpful. I found out that I needed to take aspirin to support my pgcy.
Go and see your GP and see if she can maybe do some BT's etc and maybe give a referral to someone that can help you figure out what is happening.
I truly hope that you get the answers you need to help bring a little bubba home.

It's so nice to know there are people who understand what it feels like. I have an appt with a GP this afternoon. Last time, he told me to wait until we reached the 12 month mark of TTC because 'you're young and have time on your side' hmmm... well, 12 months is reached now and a new miscarriage to report. So frustrating. I'm going to a different GP today!

Just trying to get some heads up as to what to expect or ask for if he is not very helpful. however, I have just been reading the sticky thread about tests for recurrent miscarriage and I realise I have asked far too simple a question for a very complicated issue!

I guess there's no simple answer for treating recurrent miscarriage. I shall just have to start getting th BW etc done and hopefully find out what's going on. I hope it is as simple as taking aspirin to solve the problem.

I had a similar issue pre kid #2. Turns out I had a corpus luteum insufficiency, where the corpus luteum cyst that forms after ovulation and releases hormones to support the pregnancy until the placenta kicks in around 10wks was bursting at around wk5 or 6 so I would miscarry. 1 round of clomid and #2 was on the way. Have a chat to your Dr about it because it could be something like that :hug:

I also suffered from recurrent early mc, as early as you suggested, and i knew as i was on IVF treatment. My last FS tested me for ureaplasma, 80 %of the population have it and my old fs said it was not worh treating (and so did a microbiologiest that i saw) however my new FS felt that even if it was untreated and the pg continued it put me at risk of a pre term delivery, so i got both DH and myself treated with a course of antibiotics (it is shared bacteria) and here we are today 24 weeks pg. still feel that something is yet to go wrong after 7 years and 15 cycles and so many losses, but i am further than before.

Its an easy urine test or swab so somthing worth asking for i tink.

My new FS said that she now test all her paients as it is the main reason she is seeing infertility

Hannah - There are so many reasons for m/c hun, you just need someone who will help you find an answer. When I m/c my first 2 (they were 16wks single, 12wks(twins) as I mentioned I didnt want to go through anymore m/cs before they would look into why. As the hospitals wont do anything unless you have threec m/c in a row. That is why I took it upon myself to find someone who could give me some sort of answer. I was also pg at the time with my DD, which I most probably would have lost if I didnt take things into my own hands. I hope you find someone that will help hun, just dont ever give up on your dream of having that much wanted bub. HUgs

Big hugs, I get the m/c as early as you do too. It hurts doesn't it? At the moment I am still occasionally breastfeeding my 2 yr old, so I will wean him now as it might have an effect and I have started taking vit B6 as I read that might help with implantation too.
If that won't work, I might go back to acupuncture (that's is how I got pregnant/stayed pregnant the first time), but I am so hoping I won't need that.
Maybe you should get your hormones checked, there might be a really easy sollution for you!

yes, mine was found to be a blood clotting dissorder, and aspirin was also what has helped to fix it
