Money in a card???
Ok so Ive been slack and havent been to the shops  so Im going to put money in a card for the party my son has to go to this evening
How much money do you think is the right amount?
10 15 20
he is 10 years old
I was thinking 15 because thats probably what I would have spent

Sounds good to me.
I gave a friends 9 yr old son a $20 Toys r us voucher and he thought it was best pressie ever as he got to pick what he wanted!!!!
-
I would probably do $15-20. My Nana ;) used to say a dollar for every year  but I am sure inflation would have kicked in by now, making it two dollars
As for being slack, you really need to do more online shopping

All DD1 wanted for her birthday was money in a card, lol. She got a bonus & lost a tooth the night before too, so scored very nicely for her b'day. $10 from the tooth fairy (only coz it was her birthday & we owed her from the tooth before as well) & $13 from nan & pop :)

i kinda feel like a stooge giving money but I asked DS what to get him and he says he didnt know because he hasnt been friends with him that long

Nah, I think money for a kid that age is great. It'll make his day! Just think, how often does a 10 year old get to have notes of his own?? lol

I agree money for 10yo is great! I mean better than getting him something poo :D

My DS is 10 years old and all he and his friends want is money. Makes it easy ;)
Random friends from school get $10, closer friends that he spends time with outside of school get $20.
