When to stop overnight diapers
My DS is just about 2 1/2 and doing very well with toilet training. He's in underwear and has only had one accident in the past 3 weeks. I remind him to go potty every 2 hours and he does sometimes tell me on his own he needs to go (though most times I catch him grabbing himself and when I ask if he has to pee he says yes and runs off to the loo).
He wakes up every morning (and nap time too) and calls from his room "mommy I hafta pee" and I meet him in the bathroom to help him up onto the big toilet. We leave him in underwear for his nap, but I use pull ups overnight just in case since it is such a long time. After nap he is always dry and in the mornings he is dry 99% of the time (I think we only had one small dribble in there in the past 2 weeks.
So when do you stop using overnights? I have a waterproof mattress cover but his bed is loft bed and stripping it and re-making it is really difficult (especially being 6 1/2 months pG). I feel so wasteful throwing out dry pull ups but don't really want to invest in cloth ones at this point (he has some for when he was smaller but he's outgrown them). Any advice would be greatly appreciated .
