Miss B has had it for the past 3days - and it is very runny - otherwise she is happy and active during the day - should i be concernered? she is eating but not as much!
could this be teething? and maybe a few teeth as she hasnt had that prob with previous teeth?
... my DD had gastro at same age, she too was still happy but not eating as much. Took her to the GP on the second day and she said there isn't anything you can do for them at this age other then keeping away from dairy products, and keep her fluids up with water or diluated juice. I also took her to the MHN and she said the same thing, in fact she said if she has never been introduced to juice why start now just give her water and dry foods.
They both said gastro in infants & toddlers can last anything up to 10days ... be prepared as my DD had runny poo for 8days.
They also said to be warned as you as an adult can catch it but may possibly get the symptoms anything up to a couple of weeks after ... um which DP & I both did !!
............ If your DD has the runs still tonight i would take her to the GP tomorrow morning for peace of mind for you too !!!!!!!!!

Wondering if i should be taking her to the doctor tho even tho it dosent seem to be bothering her?
my DD had it a few times, once at 9mths & other time at 18mths old & then at 3years of age (at 3 they can suck on a Hydralite icy pole you get from the chemist shop) ... i took her to the GP 2 out of the 3 times she had it but it wasn't like the GP could give me anything for her.
If it were me i would take her to the Doc tomorrow at least then confirm what it is she has so then you know you are treating her for the right thing (hope that makes sense ;))
I remember the GP saying she had to have picked it up from someone that has gastro or has the germ but doesn't know they have it yet.
Lucky they are still playing happily, and don't know any different ... just more work for you having to change her more frequently xox
not sure if i can get into the doc tomorrow being a public holiday - might take her to a 24hr one than - but u have put my mind at ease a fair bit and sounds like i dont really need to worry too much!
Hmmm i might have to start questioning her Pop - besides DH and I we are the only ones that been around her!
And your right lucky she is playing happily - suppose it could be a whole lot worse!

i seriously wouldn't worry about it, like my GP said there are different types of gastro's and the treatment would be the same as what you are already doing at home ... and another thing my GP said if they are playing happily then there is no concern ;)
