6mo only eating ONE food!! HELP!!

Hi ladies
im actually posting this for a good friend (she hasnt asked me to, just doing some research for her)
Her bubba is about 6 and a half months and only eats AVOCADO!! Thats it, nothing else. She said that bub will eat rusks, (tho apparaently as of recently not so much) bub will have a go at what your eating but wont eat any kind of baby food, be it made from her or brought!! She's tried mixing a little bit of other things in with the avo but bub wont eat it!!
Ive thrown a few suggestions at her, and she's tried them all :(
I wa sjust hoping some of you ladies could make some suggestions and maybe we might come across something she hasnt tried :)
Ill be showing her this post, coz she's really worried about her bub only eating avo, she just cant seem to get her onto anything else!!

tell her about baby led solids, bub can eat what she is having and not worry about purees ect.

Seeming her bub is only 6 mths old I dont think its a concern at all.

They still dont require solids as their main source of nutrition. It is more about exploring different things.

Tell her not to worry and to try again later with other foods. Bub just might not be ready yet.

I think what your friend needs to remember is - "food is fun until they are one"

Milk is still the most important food source for her at this age, so I wouldn't be too concerned with what the baby is actually taking in, you can't force them to eat, so I wouldn't stress about it. The more she stresses, the more the child might have issues with food later on.

Tell her to relax - and have fun!!! Offer the baby plenty of different foods, but don't be concerned if she doesn't like them. I mean, I hate mushrooms and I wouldn't be too impressed if someone kept trying to make me eat them.. LOL

DD is 5.5 mths old and still not really on solids. Just the odd bit of toast here and there and sometimes I pick things off the boys plate to give her to taste.
Perhaps he is a more finger food type of baby. Can she try fingers of toast with vegemite. Steamed veges, fingers of meat.
The BLS thread is all about 'food is fun until their one'. So no puree's (yoghurt ok) and put soft veges and fruits in front of them and let them decide what they want.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. He's still very young - maybe he's just not that interested in solids yet.
Also, if she's stressing about it, he's probably picking up on it and that can affect their willingness to try things. I'd suggest BLS too - just relax, put some pieces of soft steamed veg or soft fruit on his tray and let him go for it. He'll get the hang of it with time.
