Feliway Cat Pheremone Spray

Rouge suggested this to me a few weeks ago for our little ratbag kitten that keeps weeing on everything. It's come to the point that I am over the weeing thing and it's time to try it.

Has anyone used it before?

How much did you pay?

I've been searching the net & it's around $60-70 for the diffuser & one month of Feliway then $30-40 for the refills there after. It's pretty expensive but if it's going to work I will definitely pay for it, I just wondered if anyone knows of where to get it cheaper.

I love Feliway... use it all the time at work for relaxing stressed cats as well as introducing cats to new cats, and new territories... new people etc etc....

I've only used the spray though, not the diffuser, but I reckon its good as well.

we use the diffuser for a bratty cat that also has a weeing issue (clean washing, beds, dog beds, lounges etc) it took about 2-4weeks for it to work fully but after that we only had issues with weeing when DF forgot to clean the trays. we paid $80ish for the diffuser and about $55 per month for refills but we buy from the vet, im sure theres somewhere cheaper that u can find. i no theres some for sale on ebay...

only thing is that u should talk to ur vet about it cos they might have cheaper/other suggestions to resolve the issues.

I would get the spray as it does go a long way although it is expensive. It does work well. Spray it where the cat has been weeing and on prominent objects like corners etc.
It will work where your cat is feeling stressed or threatened, or that they need to mark.
I haven't seen your other thread but is your cat desexed? (or is it still a baby?). And is it actually weeing (squatting) or is it spraying (sprays standing up onto upright surfaces). Does she/he actually use their litterbox as well? Sometimes it helps to have a few litterboxes where they like to go and if they aren't using it at all, you may need to try some different litter or box styles. Also as you may know some cleaners mimic the ammonia smell of cat wee and therefore when you clean that area with those chemicals it encourages the animal to re-mark, so you may need to try a specific cat urine cleaner.
