Bone Density Scan
Has anyone had one of these? what does it entail? - Since being pregnant my Vit D levels have been very very low, im currently taking 1 x 50,000 UI tablet once a week. My dr has advised me to have a bone density scan as i have a hairline rib fracture that has happened again for the 3rd time :o - i also take 2 calcium supplements daily as i dont get enough dairy as it gives me the runs :redface:
Anyway, just wanted to know if its a quick procedure.

Yep - very quick and totally painless. I had a stress fracture in my sacrum (happened post pregnancy) and that is what prompted my doctor to send me for a scan.
