Hi,
My 14 month old son has started doing this screaming/squealling thing. Very loud!!! I'm not sure, but i think he's using it as a way of communication and trying to get my attention. Should i ignore him when he does it or say no. Am a bit confused as to the best course of action here. If anyone can help that would be great.

DD has started doing this too, in our case though, it only really became a habit when DS was born, so I think she does it as an attention thing - I find if I respond to it and tell her no or whatever, she'll do it more, so I try to ignore it and she usually stops after a couple of sceams. Maybe see which response works better with your LO - ignore or give attention and that way, you can work out if its a communication thing (which I'm guessing a response might help) or attention (which could be ignoring works better). If you choose to ignore it, try and give him attention when he's doing something that you want to encourage.
