Goop.

Can somebody tell me what the mucus plug is? I have read a few threads on here about it, but none seem to answer my question.
Today when I went to the loo, I had about a teaspoon of stretchy goop/discharge on my vagina, it was a yellowy/light green colour that was sort of transparent.. It did not smell either.
My vagina feels the same, not itchy, not red (according to dh) apart from I cannot stop feeling the need to go wee.
I've gone through all my books, and I'm not ready to pester the midwives yet, I will see them in 2 days anyway.
So is this the mucus plug? Does that mean I'd go early if it was?

Sounds like plug to me. Don't get worried that you're going to go into labour though, it took more than 2 weeks for me to go into labour after losing my plug. It just means that your body is starting to get ready. Exciting stuff!

Is it normal to loose it this early though? still have 6 weeks to go.. maybe I will go a little early?

Things are slowly starting to happen, it could be a few more weeks yet, but I agree it is very exciting :D
