I started getting a few on my fingers a few months back.
I was told by my GP that it was because during pregnancy your immune system is lowered, so you are more susceptable in getting things like warts.
He told me to take fish oil and make sure I'm taking my pregnancy multivitamins and it should stop them popping up.
So I did what he said and they have stopped growing (and have disappeared too!)
Thats interesting as i havent taken my vits for about a week now!! DH does have a wart at the moment on his leg (he just got rid of one on his arm!)
Ive got the GP tomorrow as the lady at the cemist was unsure as its on my bb and i dont want to upset any future BFing.
She also said it was like a virus and now it is in my system i ay get them more often!!!!!
AARRRRRHHHHHH and just when i posted a tread about DH personnel hygine!!!!!
Yeah if DH has it then he could pass it on to you. Maybe get DH to do something to up his immune system to help prevent and get rid of them, so you don't keep passing them to each other.
Definately mention it to your doctor, the doctor will give you ideas on what you can do to combat them, and maybe ask what DH can do.
They probably won't burn it off during pregnancy, they wouldn't burn mine off, and stay away from the stuff they sell at the chemist to get rid of warts, they aren't recommended for use during pregnancy.
well the GP burnt mine off my bb today! i guess its better now than when im trying to brest feed!
my warts actually dissapear when im pregnant!! i think it had something to do with taking vitam suppliments.
now if i see one i take berocca or centrum for a while and they go away.
u sure it was a wart and not a skin tag because they can be common in pregnancy too?
ETA just saw u went to the docs:doh:
