Ovulation Pain????

On the 16th day of my cycle cycle (which is usually 28-29 days in total) after my partner and I made love. A few hours later I felt discharge and noted that it was clear and thin but don't know if it was streachy (it was definitely from me). 9 hours later I felt a sharp twinge or *****ly feeling on my left side and was wondering if perhaps this was my Ovary releasing an egg? I also noticed very dull period-like pain which i have had for 3 days now.
I am really hoping this means there is a good chance I am pregnant :) Any feedback would be much appreciated for future reference. I don't know much about conception as my first son was not planned and he was conceived after only one time.
