Indoor public pools are they safe?
Hi girls :)
I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I work with little kiddies.
In 2 weeks the boss has organised a trip to the local indoor public pools.
My mum and hubby both have concerns and now I do too :(
Firstly because I'll still be before 12 weeks and bubs is susceptible to toxins will the strong chlorine smell be dangerous to inhale?
Secondly swimming in the chlorine? Plus other nasty germs in the pool?
As you all know this is our first healthy bub and I'm not willing to take any risks.
Does anyone know anything about this sort of thing?
Thanks :) xo

It's fine, the chlorine is there to kill the germs. I am swimming with both my girls while pregnant and also our swimming instructor is pregnant too. Enjoy the swimming and being in the water. You need to avoid spas because of the hear.

It's fine. I did watermums aqua classes throughout two pregnancies. The main consideration I'd have is the temperature of the water. The physio who ran our classes used to check it and liked it to be under 34.
