I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about Onyx.... so I'll watch to see the replies and then narrow down the options. I know what a cobbler is.... is it related ;)
We had two but one of them is broken - the metal ring around the top has come unstuck. Our last egg coddling experience was pretty ordinary  The Bear suggested Wedgwood or Victoria's Basement... MistyFying a quick google will lead you to egg coddlers dot com or the egg coddler appreciation society's facebook page
It's a little pot with a lid. You rub the inside with butter or oil then pop in your egg with some extras (seasoning, fetta, tomato, sausage etc) then screw on the lid and put it in a shallow dish of boiling water.
My Mum used to make them for us and they were really yummy.
ETA - There's an egg coddler appreciation society?! I'm there :p they sound like my kind of people.
Gosh, this reminds me of my mother. For some reason she used to tell me all the foods that would good for the elderly and one of those was coddled eggs. She seemed to have an obsession about telling me about them, but never made them
I saw some online - Alfresco emporium? They were $7.95. I am intrigued now. Might have to source some for myself!
You know this is hilarious! I was working in a little housewares shop on Saturday and someone came in looking for them. We had a huge discussion about how good egg coddlers were.... but had no idea where to get them!
