Support Group Proposal
Hi everyone, I'm needing some advice if people are willing to share. Basically in my area there are no support services for women who have experienced miscarriage. I had a whinge to a person at an organisation in my area and now she wants me to write a proposal on what I think the area needs, and design a support group etc for her to take to her boss for consideration. Only problem is I'm in retail, I've never done anything like this before, I don't even know where to start? So far I've thought perhaps running a closed semi-structured group that provides information on grief, acknowledging the lost baby, and talking about ways to cope with grief and loss in life and relationship problems as a result of loss. Then I thought this could turn into a social walking group for people if they wanted to continue the group? Any advice, imput, ANYTHING is appreciated :)

I think that's a great idea. Any IRL help, support and assistance, as well as spreading knowledge, of miscarriage and loss is a wonderful idea.
You're so lucky your friend who is willing to help you out.
Go for it.

Why not get in touch with one of the organizations that deals with these problems and ask them for advise of how to run such a group. I think it is a wonderful idea. :)
