Any info on adoption??

Hi my DH and i are going through IVF at the moment and adoption isnt in our near future but am still interetsed in finding out about it for if we need to look into it later. I was wondering if anyone could tell me roughly the cost? and how long the process takes to adopt an australian baby?
Any advice would be great xx
