Moving back to parents house: Will i still get full PPS?

hi ladies

after a horrendous bunch of housemates ive decided its best for me and DD to move back to my parents.... im currently on single parent pension (plus ftb and rent assist) and am worried i will lose this or it will become less if i move home (i mean yes i know i will still be single, but my parents earn over 200k a year). also will i still be entitled to JET assistance when i start TAFE? (subsidised daycare for single mums studfying or working) i cant find anything concerning 'moving home' with a child on the c'link website....

As far as I know when you are a parent you are fully independant reguardless.
You will lose your rent asisstance if you aren't paying rent, but it shouldn't affect any of your other payments at all. I've lived with my parents while single & nothing else changed. Their income wasn't that high, but I'm 99% sure that doesn't matter as you are supporting your child, not them.

Not sure about JET. But I'm pretty sure nothing will change except your ra.

I think that you will still be entitled to full PPS and FTB as you are "independent" and it is just like living with other housemates to centrelink. If you are paying less rent and don't have a lease agreement then you may not get RA and I'm not sure about JET assistance, can't see why not. Best to call Centrelink and confirm for your own peace of mind :)

If you are paying rent, you don't need a lease. Just get a rent assistance form for your parents to sign to say you are paying rent.
If its not much (I was paying $50) you probably won't get RA, but if you're paying over that you should get some.
I wasn't offered JET, but doubt that would change.

Clover is correct - the only thing that will change, if you are on PPS and FTB is potentially your rent assistance - when you notify of your change of address (you need to do so within 14 days of moving), ask for a rent certificate which your parents can sign to verify you are contributing to the rent and you can continue to receive some RA. If your child care details haven't changed, your entitlement to JET won't change and if you are studying you might like to consider applying for the Pensioner Education Supplement (you can download a claim form from the website, have one posted to you via the call centre or pick one up from your local office). I'm pretty sure you're not entitled to rent assistance if living with your parents until you're aged 25, even if they're charging you 'normal' rent. But other than that, your payments shouldn't be affected because you're considered an independent because you've got a child :) HTH!

I was told I would be entitled to rent asisstance, but I was only paying my parents $20 a week, not enough to receive ra. I was only 19 at the time with DD1.

Your other payments shouldn't be affected at all. Mine aren't.
