The name Jay for a Boy?

Hello Again!..

I really like the name Jay for a boy.

I think it suits baby/child//teen and adult

I know a Jay. I met him in uni and the name suited him perfectly and now we're older it still suits him. Its sort of a simple but classic sounding man's name. No fuss IYKWIM. I think it would be cute on a little boy too so perfect for all the ages :D

One of my very best friends was named Jay. He is now over 30 and it still suits him :)

One of the girls on here has a DH named that too.

i think it's a great name. we actually considered calling ds2 jay, and often use it as his nickname now.

I had a friend named Jason and everyone called him Jay. I like both.

I think Jay is a gorgeous name for a boy. My brother's middle name is Jay and I use to work with a Jay and both are lovely.
I also went to school with a girl named Jay, but she was constantly told it was a boys name (which drove her nutts) and she is a tom boy, always has been and still to this day is one!

I think it's a great name.
I wanted it as a first name but xDP didn't like it with the surname, which I can see. So we moved it to the middle name and I still love love loveeeeeeee it.

I like the name Jay. Unfortunately for me DH doesn't like it though (DH actually doesn't seem to like ANY names...but that's another story!!)

I know a 16yo boy called Jaye. It's a great name. I remember when he was named - I was sooo jealous as I loved it & wouldn't be able to use it anymore :(

Hmmm, it's a bit 1980s for me...that's why there are a lot of 20 and 30-something Jays around LOL.

LOL, MD! My cousin's name is Jay and I really like it. He's a bit of a delinquent though so that "colours" the name for me a little ;)

I have a couple of friends whos name is Jay and they are the nicest guys :) It's a great name :)

I love it! Jay is my younger brother in law's name. He is 20 and a really good kid! There may be a few around who are that age and older but you don't hear it as much now for new babies!! It's a good name that he will never have to spell for people! Good for a baby & a grown up too.

he will more than likely get asked in life if it is short for Jason or Jayden but it could be worse like getting asked how to spell it, which Jay clearly is an easy name to spell ;)

i think i have heard one of it's known name meanings is Happy ... hey who could not like that :D
