Luteal support during IVF - clinic differences?
Hi all,
I've recently moved to Adelaide from Perth, and thus changed clinics. I am used to a luteal protocol of E2/P4 pessaries, 2 or 3 a day depending on the treatment, PLUS up to 4 x 1500 Pregnyl injections during the luteal phase... my new clinic's protocol (although I didn't get to it as the cycle was cancelled after egg collection) was only 2 x 1500 pregnyal injections, without any pessaries. I was worried as the new clinic also didn't do mid-luteal blood tests to check E2P4 - but it's a well reputed clinic, so maybe my Perth clinic was just over-doing it ?
My question is, are there some clinics which just don't use pessaries anymore - it seems this clinic just either do the 2 x pregnyl injections, or the crinone cream.
Thanks !
