How long does gastro last?

as the tittle suggests, how long does gastro last?
my dd had is yesterday, she didnt spew today but did 2 diarreah poos towards the end of today.

Ive just ahd it and I would say a good 24hours but sometimes longer. It depends what has caused the gastro. Hope your little one is better soon

i really hope she's better by tomorrow, poor love!! She seemed much happier today tho :)

Some can be a 24 hour spell.. and then others can be 5 days or so..

Gastro went through our house around this time last year i think? It started with DD (9 at the time) who had it for 24 hours, then moved on to me, then to DS, who was around 1 (can't remember if he was just under or over??) i think he had it for about 12 hours, then it stopped for 12 hours then he had another vomit, which we were told was quite normal for littlies to have it start, stop, then start again after 12 hours or so..
We had it again about 6 weeks ago. DD had it bad for around 12 hours, along with DH for the same time frame, then DS who seemed to have it spread it over a couple of days.
