Hi everyone,
I am having the biggest craving for banana bread but I've never made it so I'm asking for everyone's favourite banana bread receipe - pretty please ;)
I'm so excited and can't wait to give it to my kids.
Happy baking,
Dan.

Hi, I have this recipe - I've tried it twice I think, and it was pretty easy to make, and most importantly yummy. Think I might make it again :D
4 very ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup castor sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla (I used cinnamon and other spices instead)
pinch salt
combine squashed banana and butter
add eggs and vanilla, mix
add sugar, baking soda and salt. mix
add flour and mix well
pour into greased and floured pan
bake at 1 hour at 180C
allow to cool before removing from pan
enjoy!
The Taste website has a good one - I have used it and it's great!
I make this and it is just devine!
2 bananas
2 tablespoons golden syryp
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup self-raising flour
pinch of salt
METHOD
Heat oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced).
Grease and line the base of a loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, mash bananas then add golden syryp. Add sugar and stir in.
Add egg, sifted flour and salt and lightly mix until combined.
Pour into loaf pan and cook for 30 minutes or until a skewer is inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Allow to cool in tin for 10 minutes, then turn onto wire rack to cool.
Enjoy it warm straight from the oven or lightly grill it and then enjoy with butter melting on top.
How did you go?
I love Bill Granger's.

Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl
Mix the butter, sugar, eggs, banana, choc chips and vanilla extract in a seperate bowl

Pour the batter into a non-stick , or lightly greased and floured 19 x 11cm loaf tin and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until the bread is cooked when tested with a skewer
Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool
