Off his food?
Hi
Just wondering is there anything I should be doing for 9 month old who has been off his food for the last few days. Or if I should be concerned? My 9 month old just doesn't seem to be interested in eating at the moment. Regardless of what I give him he screws up his face and turns away. The only thing that I seem to be able to get him to take is cruskits or else toast at the moment.
He has a cold at the moment and I think his next top teeth may be coming through as he quite a rash on his face. Would either of these be causing the problem? Just a bit concerned as has been going on for a few days now. Bit difficult to gauge his milk intake as 2 of his feeds are breastfeeds (other 2 are bottles with additional BF if he wakes in middle of night) so can't say how much he takes but he has definitely cut back on the bottle he will take mid morning. He didnt seem to be that interested in feeding (BF) when he woke this morning though he had woken for extra feed in the middle of night.
Any knowledge/thoughts gratefully received. I am trying to spread his food onto the cruskits/toast and this is working somewhat.
Thanks

I'd put it down to the cold and teeth, he probably doesn't feel like eating much when he is sick and his gums are hurting!
Poor little man, hope he is back to normal soon!

They go through heaps of up and downs in their eating, but they will never starve themselves, just keep offering the good food and don't introduce junky type food just to get them to eat something.
We are currently in the middle of a 6 month eating strike  with a 2 year old, she never seems hungry and eats the tinest amount, my gp assures me her appetite will come back.
