There's a gohst in our birthing suit

Hi everyone, we did our antinatal classes last weekend and there are 3 birthing suits. The one we would like to use (if it's free) has a gohst in it, she is a woman who wears a long white robe. She apparently gently wakes up the midwives if they are having a nap in there and that is about as much as I know. dh and I aren't concerned at all about having a gohst in with us, however we would like to protect ourselves and bubs just incase their intentions aren't so pure iwkm we spoke about having a few words with the lady once we are in the room (again if we get to use that birthing suit) just something to the effect of we welcome your pressance here and thank you for any loving help you may offer etc but we would also like to place a few protection crystals (not sure which ones to use) or do whatever else you good BBer's reccomend.

wow so is it a known fact she is there?
maybe she was a MW and shes there to help? no advice but i'm sure someone will know what to do.

Have you been in the birthing suite? What was your first impression? In my experience the feeling you get as you enter a haunted room tells you the intention of the spirit.

If it were me (being a Christian) I would take in a rosary or a bible, or even a prayer card with me. If that's not your bag then a piece of black tourmaline will do the job (available online, just google) which will basically tell the spirit that you are not interested.

I think I'd be quite honoured to have a ghost in my birthing room - so long as she wasn't there with bad intentions...

Many of our cleansing rituals you will not be allowed to perform in a hospital - they require smoke or smudging, aspering, salt, etc - not usually looked upon kindly lol

However, you can also have some success with hanging some herbs...You can use Bittersweet (Nightshade) if you can find it in Australia, you may be able to get it online through a tea merchant. Hanging it in secret in the room will be most effective.
Adding camphor to some water in a bowl and placing it in the room will also help cleanse the space of strongest energies form past visitors.

If you can get away with it, you can spray some consecrated water around the room (aspering) but use your common sense with this one ;) don't want to cause any accidents! lol

A basil plant will bring love, good fortune and protection to the space.

Green Tourmaline will also offer a strong protective influence.

Personally for you, calcite and hematite would be beneficial.

What hospital? If its Selangor, they never told me! If so, I'm curious, which suite?

Zarava yes it is known fact that she is there, amongst the midwives anyway. Both dh and i thought she must have been a MW too and most likely there to help which is why TeniBear we would also be quite honoured in have her in the birthing suit with us :)

Traveller we have visited the birthing suits 2 times, the 1st time we went into that room we both walked out and said that we liked the energy of that romm the best, which is great because both dh and I can trust our instincts. In fact I didn't even want to necessarily 'cleanse' that space at all however I would definently want to cleanse the other 2 rooms if we end up in there becasue they didn't really feel right kwim.

LimeSlice I think I will take in some water with sage infused in it to spray around the place, not enough to get rid of the gohst like smudging would but enough to clear some of the human energies anyway. Hematite is also just what I am after to keep me focused yet also allow me to connect with my baby, higher self, my guides and the universal wisdom of all woman who have given birth before me. I feel that is really important as I know that for me to get though the birth I am really going to have to call aopn some help and go deeper within myself than ever before, are there any other crystals that you can recommend for that purpose?

Hi snowylove haven't seen you around for ages :) I'd rather not say, most people don't hold the same belief system that I do and would just freak out and give the hospital a bad name, which would really be a shame ;)

*The Green Tourmaline will do that - but it is VERY powerful, so best not to physically hold it if you don't have to.
*Black Agate will help you with you primal connections and base grounding - strength, resilience, peace...Use it at the Root Chakra and it will be most beneficial (You could have your partner hold it and press it against your tail bone anytime during labour where you feel you are losing sense of yourself, of connection with your physical body, could be useful during pushing I would think.
*Amber - Get yourself an amber necklace, it will help you disspell negativity in yourself and in your environment. (Don't leave this one in the sun, cleanse in warm water, and leave it overnight in a bowl with hematite to charge it properly) When it goes cloudy, it needs to be cleansed. Amber is an aural cleanser, hence helping you achieve a higher vibration, above the negative energies.

Generally with all of these, you will want to cleanse them right before you use them - just run them under
luke warm water or in the sun. If possible you want to cleanse them on a full moon or close to as possible - their energies are amplified by the moon.


Take some lavender oil in with you and make sure someone in the room is ready, as soon as you deliver bubs (Immediately after) put one drop on your pubic bone (just with a finer tip and rub in with small clockwise circles) this will help release and deliver your placenta without drugs :)

LimeSlice you are a super star! I do plan to deliver the placenta without that injection they give you so the lavender tip is wonderful :) I already have a beautiful amber necklace so I will cleanse it again and charge it up with the hematite on the full moon in August which is 2 weeks before my due date :) I also went out this morning and when I was out at a market I bought a big chunk of calcite, it's not as white as I would have liked and it has a fair bit of brown through it but I'm sure it will be great :) Thanks again.
