I need Advice
At age 20 in 2005 I went to the doctor and after years of problems the dr suggested PCOS
i had several ovarian cysts at 16, 17 and 18 and alot of pain most of the time... I also experienced bleeding for weeks at a time and then long periods without bleeding. I was put on the pill at 16 for acne and other body hair issues and took it until 20.
The Dr ordered several tests and told me to go off the pill to come back in a few weeks for another test..... So I told BF.... went off the pill... forgot to go back to the drs and fell pregnant....
Didnt end up going back to that dr as B/F and I fought heaps and We moved away
Anyhow Dr suggested PCOS
Also told me if I had it , it would be hard to get pregnant... So when i got pregnant I figured I didnt have it
Now years have passed my body became more regular nearly every 28 days and I never went back on the pill. After 4 years off no pill and total unprotected sex , We had our DS.
Now he is nearly 2 and we are trying for number 2, however after 6 months now Im thinking it back to the dr....
my cycles were 28 days then since April have gone to :
march - 30 days
April- 32 days
May - 33 days
June- 38 days and counting
So do you think i'd even ovulate? Does this sound like PCOS
I also have excess hair (which I take care of ;)
acne
weird cycles as mentioned
and I am BF but for some reason tonight my DS seems to be turned off by the taste of my milk
Sorry its so long... finally a chance to get it all out

It sounds like PCOS, you don't necessarily need to have ALL of the symptoms to have the syndrome. I'd talk to your GP about it, it'll hafta be diagnosed with blood tests and an ultrasound. Good luck and welcome to the club, LOL :)

you need a referral to a gynae for blood tests and a ultrasound. i don't have all the symptoms but i do have the syndrome. i really hope you get some answers huni, huge hugs xxx

Thanks ladies
I will find a gynae once we settle after we move house, Its so frustrating not knowing whats going on, I just hope to get some answers soon. Going to do a Pregnancy test tomorrow just in case
But unlikely :(

Stress can also mess around with your period hun, so it could just be the stress about moving etc...

It does sound to me like PCOS. I have it and dont have all the symptoms. I too was told that it was hard to fall pregnant but here i am with a 1 week old baby lol
Most GP's wont diagnose it as they didn't study gynacology (sp?) in uni and so they just base most the symptoms you tell them on 'hormone imbalances' or 'normal'.. thats what happened to me for 4 years until i found one doctor who tested me for PCOS and i found out i had it.
I also thought many times i was pregnant as sometimes the symptoms of the condition can be similar of being pregnant.
Good luck with getting tested and hope you get an answer to why your body is being weird.
