IMHO its asking to be teased at school. Taj Mahal and all that.

I know a few little boys with this name and they are the coolest little kids! Really 'cool' name;)

Will you pronounce it Taj or Tie A little boy at school spells his name Taj but with a Tie pronunciation!

hmmm yeah even though he's gorgeous, I'm still not a fan of the name. It sounds Indian and this little boy - well isn't, so it's kinda odd.

We have two Taj's (said Taj not Tie) and they are both lovely so the name has grown on me. Neither of them has ever been teased about the Taj Mahal or any other teasing either.

I really like it :thumbsup: It's mine and DH's second fav boys name. it's a cool name and I don't think he would get teased. (sorry to disagree with you rumpledelf) but my aunty is a teachers aid and as she says, so many kids have "different" names these days that name teasing a really a thing of the past :)

I haven't heard a kid teased about their name by other children my whole teaching career TBH.

It's our newphew's name and it's very suiting. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and is also the son of two top kite surfers. It's a great name :)

I grew up in a school where you got savagely teased for ANYTHING and names were right up the top of the list ... I think I've been scarred for life :(

I really like it too, only just the other day I was trying to convince DH to the virtues of this name- unfortunatly to no avail, but I think it is cute. I also have to agree that now that there are so many different names out there it is not such a source for teasing. I would say in my class of about 27 only about 2/3's have your traditional names, the rest are a little bit different or from other cultures, and I dont think I have had one incidence of teasing about names.

i personally don't like it! but hope you can convince hubby to like it too!
