I am really up for a p/t role, 2 days a week. However I haven't had any luck with seek etc. I am pretty flexible with what it is. Ideally I would love it to be local and be a professional or corporate role. But I am flexible on this too. I am losing hope of a 2 day a week role coming up and would really appreciate it if you could fill me in on your experiences. Thanks so much!
Where are you located and what sort of role are you after? I work 3 days a week but am moving to a 2 day a week management level role.
I've recently started 2 days a week but it was a job that really just dropped into my lap through a friends husband (she wasn't even sure if I was looking for work or could do the job they were after). It was a new role they weren't sure if they would fill, but I fit the roll so they took me on. I guess that doesn't help much, but perhaps start approaching companies so they know you're keen. If they have a 'possible' job they'll probably look to you first.
I found Seek wasn't very helpful in finding PT roles a few days. I think most of them go to mums returning from maternity leave or other FT staff going to PT. Have you considered doing party plans? Tuppaware, LorraineLee, Body Shop etc?? It's flexible and I understand they usually get at least 2 days a week.
I work five days a fortnight (3 one week, 2 the next) for the state government. I applied for my job through the vicgov careers website, they do come up every now and again.. just need to keep checking the site or set up email notifications for when a role thats suits your criteria comes up.
I am in Sydney. I have experience in superanuation which I hated, technical marketing which I did for one year and teaching for one year and which I don't really like.
To be honest I think the key is getting an interview (apply for anything that takes your fancy) and then negotiate. That's how I got my job working 1.5 days a week :) good luck x

Firstly I think you need to decide what it is that you want to do and then narrow it down a bit. Look in My Career as well as seek. There is a site called part time online and also career mums and executive mums websites have part time roles. I would also register with agencies specifically stating you want part time. You might get some temp to perm work.
