Early separation anxiety?

Hey guys,

Second post of the day:

I've noticed over the past few weeks that little one isn't really liking other people right now. People just need to look at her and she gets the old quivering bottom lip. She won't be held by anyone other than me and DH.

Took her to a chiro this morning who said "wow, she's really attached to you hey?".

I was like "um, yeah, she's my baby". It's not the first time someone has commented. I keep getting "she shouldn't be doing that until at least 7 months".

Is it weird that she's like this already?

Nah I'm pretty sure Eden was like that too. They just love their mummy :D

She is better at 8 months now, but will still cry at people she's not that familiar with :)

My little one has been like that since she was about a month old. Always looks for me to check that everything is ok. I think it is a good thing, shows they know where to go to feel safe.

DD was exactly the same, wouldn't even go to DH without crying. Now she happily goes to anyone she knows, but will still cry with strangers.

Haha yeah it was quite amusing when she was put in front of Eden, Eden started crying which then set her off.. LOL

Both my boys were exactly the same from a very early age :). I thought I must be doing something wrong (well everyone else told me it was my fault :rolleyes:), but DD is not like that at all and I raised her exactly the same as the boys! Nothing wrong with bub liking their mum, it kind of makes you feel important :lol:.

My DD has been like this since around 12 weeks - right when we travelled to visit family just her and I - felt like she never left my arms. She will smile and be so cute to others when I'm holding her, hand her over and she could almost get an Oscar ;) I understand it, it's a big scary world out there that she's becoming so very aware of, so I don't push it. What really irks me is the comments like 'oh isn't she a mumma's girl' or 'gee she's a bit clingy'. Um well, she's 4 months old. Enough said. Grrrr.

I hate that too Bean, or when people describe babies as sooky or whingy... like it's on purpose.

Yeah, that is the impression I get from some people, from their comments they are suggesting that she is a sook. I hate that. A friend was round the other day and she was right in little one's face and she is also quite loud. Evie took one look at her and screamed her head off. My mate was like "wow, she's cranky hey?" and I was like "get out of her face then!!!".
