Did anyone know this week is world breastfeeding week?
I discovered purely by accident while reading a blog and I came across a post about one woman's experience in breastfeeding her baby. It is a very inspiring story and has reduced me to tears. I especially love her summary of what she has learnt from the whole experience.
There is also some great information on the world breastfeeding week website and the ABA.
Am off to read more now... :)

I knew. But I'm not celebrating by bfing this week!
I got out some photos of my DD bfing and showed them to her. Awww...
I heard a very annoying (and ironic) story about some ABA members having their photo taken for World Breastfeeding Week by a local newspaper. The photographer refused to photograph them bfing because he didn't know how the readers might react :rolleyes:
So...still lots of work to do seemingly.
LOL, that is just downright ridiculous. And funny at the same time!
I have a friend who put photos of herself breastfeeding her baby on facebook - when facebook put a ban on photos of breastfeeding mothers up! It was so funny, the FB people would take them down and she'd just keep adding them. They disabled her account!!! Hahahahaaa!

Oh, it makes me sad to continue to hear these stories :rolleyes: It still catches me by surprise as I am surrounded by pro breast feeding people all the time.
Sometimes I forget how far we have to go!
