DD has a sore throat. What can I feed her?

Hi all,

DD has been complaining of a sore throat. She doesnt want to eat or drink all day. She takes a sip of her milk and says it hurts. She has had fevers as well.

What can i feed her to make her throat feel better?

Will take her to a docs tomrrow but need to give her something to soothe her throat.

DD is 2 yrs old.

Try warm water with lemon, honey and a bit of fresh ginger. If she doesn't like the taste of the ginger, without it is fine too. Also works well with some warm herbal tea. Hope she feel better soon :hug:

If you find something let me know!!! I've got a throat infection and have had a sore throat for about 5 days now!! On ab's now so hope it goes away fast. Hope your DD's throat gets better fast, it's no fun that's for sure. :hug:

Only thing i can suggest is nurophen. Will help take away some pain. Otherwise some luke warm water with a bit of honey? not sure if you can give tea? i know warm drinks always help my throat when its sore.

When you go out tomorrow.. you can buy lolly pops at the chemist that are medicated for sore throats.

we saw some little ulcers on her tongue and in her mouth. Will see what the docs say

oh ... sounds like possibly hand foot and mouth disease! Did you go to the doc??? What did they say?

Yup went to the docs, she has a throat infection. She is on AB. Soooo hard to feed it to her though coz she spits it back out or covers her mouth!!!!!!!!!
