Clomid cycle - already ovulating, help with scan results please!
Hi, I am nearly 34 years old and have never been pregnant. We have been TTC for the past few years but only in the last 11-12 months have I been regularly using OPK's and charting, using preseed, etc. I have had blood tests through my GP, an ultrasound and DF has also had a SA. All results came back showing no issues. I was referred to a Gyno/Ob and was asked a lot of questions about cycle, pain, etc. I was asked to keep charting, using OPK's and had a blood test on day 21 and also a Laparoscopy. It appears I am ovulating and lap results all clear-no blockages.
This cycle I have taken Clomid 50mg days 3-7 however my FS did not monitor me as he said there was 'no need'. After chatting to a few people and doing some more research I thought as I was already ovulating it would be best to see if and how clomid worked and what changes it may have caused in relation to follicles, lining, ovulation time, etc. I have always had regular 28 -29 cycles.
I called my FS who would not organise a referral for a scan :shakehead: so went to my GP who organised one but told me he did not believe the scan was answer my queries about number of follicles, chances of multiple pregnancy, etc.
I had the scan on CD 12 and the results are: Lining 4.1mm proliferative in type, Rather prominent follicles ranging in size from 15-25mm in R ovary and 18-29mm in L ovary. Prominent cystic change noted in both ovaries, in keeping with patient's medication.
Last month on CD 14 my scan results were: Lining 9.4mm proliferaive in type. A rather prominent follicle in the L ovary.
Are these good results or is the lining now too thin?
GP was not very helpful when I asked about how many follicles and chances of multiple pregnancy. Now I don't know what to do. I was only given a clomid script for this cycle and don't want to waste a month of trying in case the egg/eggs are stronger or 'better' this time but I also don't want to dramatically increase my chances of a multiple pregnancy.
If anyone can provide an opinion or thoughts based on previous experiences, etc. I would be most grateful!
Thankyou :)
