so i have asked her a few times if she can come over, drop the money. then this week I hear she is going overseas for a holiday (to LA for a shop till u drop holiday) and was gonna drop over the money but then forgot and had a migraine and she was flying out the next day.
Personally, if I owe anyone any money whether its $300 or $30 bucks, I always pay them back straight away.
This is just plain rude and ignorant.
It was for a bon jovi ticket. If she does'nt pay me, I'm taking my 13 yr old.
I would definitely make sure she paid before handing over the ticket. That is just rude.
Why cann't she just do a bank transfer into your account? That's what I'd be asking her to do - whilst telling her that I really 'need' the money (don't have to say what for).
yes i said we need the money for bills. after all this, will have nothing to do with her..

but is she likely to still pay you when she gets back? she might be thinking that she doesnt HAVE to pay you until the night...
This is totally rude. I'd take your 13 year old, I know the principal of the matter is that you bought the ticket in good faith on her behalf and she hasn't paid you for it, which is totally inconsiderate.
I have a "friend" that I leant $300 to before Christmas so she could pay her rent (she works casual and had been sick), we're now in August and I've still not seen a cent of it, yet she can afford to take her kids on holiday, go out drinking, get a new phone......
If I owe someone as little as $20 it is on my mind until the next time I see them when I give it back. I just dont understand how people can sleep at night ripping off a friend.
I am so sorry I have no good advice (obviously, as I would be following it myself if I did) only to say definitely dont give her the ticket until after you have all the money..

OMG, I hate it when people do this.
We had friends move over here after we did and their cash was "tied up" for a bit so we loaned them $500. They told us they'd give it back to us straight away - it was weeks before they even mentioned it again. DH was out with the husband one night for drinks and had to go to an ATM and the guy said "oh, here, have $50 till you get to the cash machine" but STILL hadn't given us our original $500 back!! We never did get it back and are no longer friends with them (for so many other reasons but money was one of them).
Money between friends, in my experience, always goes bad.

How inconsiderate! Maybe mention it to her, somehow, that you have her ticket, she just needs to pay you the money...
Grr how rude. I can't stand owing friends money!! If a friends buys me lunch or pays for something I cant repay them fast enough!!
