I didn't buy a brand name one - I got it off e-bay, brand is Enviro-baby.
Anyway got it on Monday & have tried both boys in it (DS1 once on my back - he is 16 kg which is the limit) and have had DS2 in all carries. Now my neck is really sore - am I doing it wrong, is the carrier wrong for me or maybe its completley unrelated.
On the plus side, I got the cat's beds washed and the washing up done this morning without DS2 whinging 'cause he was on my back 'helping'.
Hey SL, just wanted to give you a bump - I'm not sure about the Mei Tai and neck problems. Maybe google it?
I asked my chiro about slings and she said they are all ok as long as they are worn correctly.

ETA - I actually quickly googled "mei tai and neck problems" and a few things came up - but there seems to be a way that you can put it on to help with that. Have a look and google it babe, you'll be able to work out what they are on about LOL, I don't know much about the mei tai so have no idea LOL
The only thing I can think of is that you might need to make sure bub is nice and snug against you. Sometimes if they're not tied close enough, it can put a bit of strain on muscles, you want to carry their weight as close to you as possible.
Otherwise, I suppose it could just be you using new muscles perhaps...you might want to wear bub a little at a time? Not sure on that, but perhaps it's like getting a sore back from a heavy school bag after the summer break...
Thanks ladies. I saw my chiro today & he said a carrier that takes the weight on the waist is best & probably better than just holding DS. So, its got to be better than my close carrier & single shoulder sling.
