Need tips for managing a long haul flight with an 18mo
DH and I have decided to take DS to the US to visit family over christmas. He'll be close to 18 months at the time, so I'm a bit concerned about how he'll cope being couped up on a plane for 14 hours and then put on another one for 5 more hours (and how I'll cope :o).
I'm thinking I'd like to start buying a few new things for him to have on the plane, but not sure what would be a good idea. I'll probably get some crayons and new books, but with the attention span a toddler has I don't think those will keep in occupied for much more than an hour... So do you have any good ideas?
Also, any other tips you have for long-haul travel would be great. I'm planning on investing in one of those travel prams that folds down to hand luggage size, but what else would be useful?
