So. My parents forgot my birthday.

Forgot my birthday. Yes they did.

No visit. No phone call. No SMS's. No letter or card in the mail. No email! Not even a Facebook message!

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I know what their excuse is. And I'm probably being a big sooky la-la drama queen cry baby. But it hurt. It really hurt. I don't care if we spoke on Monday mum, I don't care if you might come up on Saturday. It's the day you became a parent, it's the day I was born, at least message me. I hadn't even talked to dad since the beginning of September, so no excuses on his part.

I'm hurting a lot. I can't even describe it. Of all the things they've said and done, this has hurt the most.

While we're on the subject, they didn't even bother to ring/message/contact us on Jazzy's birthday either. I'm just glad she's too young to remember they didn't bother, but she's going to grow up.

I'm overwhelmed at the moment. Very numb. I never thought they'd go so far as to forget, or not bother contacting me if they remembered. Every now and then I get a hollow, heavy pain in my chest, but otherwise I'm very numb.

Oh Leasha I'm sorry. That's really awful. My mother forgot my birthday when I was ten and it really hurt, so I have some idea of what you're going through. There is just no excuse for it. Sure you're grown up but its only human to want our parents' love. And now you have Jazz I'm sure you find it impossible to understand how a parent could ever forget their child's birthday or not bother to acknowledge it. :hug: :hug: :hug:

I'm so sorry i cant believe parents could forget birthdays like that,not even a text! I am in even more shock that they didn't remmeber Jazz's birthday!

I would be so hurt as well, and totally understand why you would feel that way....
