Hi Ladies,
I want to hire a Tens machine for labour and i've found a website you can hire one from that allows you to have it for 8 weeks. 4 weeks before you're EDD and 4 weeks after.
They also have a package for $149 plus postage where you get the Tens plus a Womama birth wrap, which i've thought would be great.
What did everyone wear during labour?
Do you have the Womama wrap?
Anyone here used the Elle Tens?

I was super trendy when I gave birth.. I wore knickers and a singlet XD
personally i think that's a bit to "nice" to wear with all the blood and whatnot, and i think you'd find it might get in your way a little? it'd be nice to wear while you're recovering tho... especially seeing as it's gonne be warm.
I hired a TENS machine from a supplier in Bentleigh. He works from home so i was able to pick it up & drop off as he's round the corner from a friend, saving me postage charges. Loved my TENS machine. I would imagine they are all similar - i had mine on for 6 days, 24/7 for my last labour!
During labour, i wore a comfy oversized t-shirt that i picked up from k-mart. it was bound to get bodily fluids on it somehow and i didn't want to spend more than necessary. I wore it for most of the last 2 weeks of pregnancy too as there was nothing else that fitted me! i ended up in a hospital gown in hospital anyway so glad i didn't spend money on a 'labour' outfit IYKWIM.

I may be a little bit of a prude but my MIL is possibly going to be there and I don't want my bits out for all to see!
I know ppl say in the moment I won't care who sees my bits, but afterwards I might think oh gosh she saw my hoo haa at it's worst IYKWIM haha.
Any suggestions for what to wear that will cover me but also be comfy and have easy access points ;)
An oversized tee? Nightie?
I wore a singlet and leggings (I'm a prude lol)...eventually the knickers and leggings had to come off but I had my bra and singlet on the whole time. The midwife and my doula had a bit of a time getting my bra off for skin to skin.
That dress thing could be good for early labour I think. Could get annoying later on though. As Teagz said it does look a bit 'nice'. Would make an awesome breastfeeding dress though.
I loved my TENS machine, it was awesome :) Definitely not a waste of money here.
For my first labour i was totally starkers, second time around i wore leggings and a breastfeeding singlet. The singlet made things hard for skin to skin straight away, i wish i had had time to get it off but the baby had other ideas :)
Mmm maybe a singlet or tee is going to be a better idea, actually it does look like it's about knee length so maybe it would be a nuisance.
I think its still a good package though just to wear ifor the rest of your pregnancy and breastfeeding, if you plan on bf, that is.
Yea you're right Jas and warmer weather is headed our way shortly.

I bought my sister the Womama birthing wrap dress and she loved it! She wore it last month during the birth of her daughter and she loved the fact that she could open the wrap dress completely at the front allowing her to place her bub directly on her breast immediately after the birth, but also being able to cover herself up when she wanted to be.
Babyluv, I'm not sure what the Womama is but it sounds like what I wore, except more fancy! My sister and I have both worn the same nightie - its just a simple one from Bras n Things but it buttons all the way down so you can rip it open easily for access to your chest post birth. For my first I had it on and done up, but for my second I basically arrived at the birth suites in my shorts and tshirt, stripped off for the shower then when I came out to push DH sort of draped it over my shoulders, more so I wouldn't get cold!
It was about mid-thigh length. Just a Short Stories brand so not expensive or fancy but it did the job. It has also washed up really well and I'll be able to wear it again if I have a third...
Oh and the TENS machines are great.
