that's just taking it too far sis

I have a younger sister who is 17, she's in her final weeks of Year 12. Being born in Feb she is one of the young ones just like I was. All her friends are 18 and go out clubbing and what not, so naturally she wants to fit in and go along too (mum doesn't have a clue of course). She has asked to borrow my I.D which I don't mind giving her occasionally. We don't look anything alike so I doubt she's ever used it. We have the understanding that if it gets taken off her then she has to pay for the replacement.

Anyway the other day mum told me she found my old Medicare card (still valid) and my birth cert extract in her room. I don't think my mum cottoned on on to what she was trying to do but I can only assume it was to try and get a proof of age card in my name. I know it's not that easy and she wouldn't have been able to but I'm amazed the idea even crossed her mind. All to get into some crappy club...seriously!?

I was in the same boat at her age. All my friends were 18, I was 17 and couldn't go out with them. In the end a whole bunch of us younger ones ended up hanging out a lot and getting up to mischief elsewhere. So I get how she feels...but essentially attempting to steal my identity? I just sat tight and waited, why can't she!
Apparently the other day she went out to some club with friends in the city and didn't even get asked, which amazes me. Every time I have been out we have all been checked and scrutinised up and down for a least 30 secs!

I told her she can't use my ID anymore and took all the bits and pieces she had collected and brought them home. So hopefully that is the end of that.
