I have really sensitive eyes and I rarely wear mascara because it irritates them. I use Nutrimetics mostly but is there another mascara I can use that I can just pick up from a department store?
Also, does anyone know if eyelash tinting is suitable for super sensitive eyes? I've never done it and don't really know the process but always wondered if there was and then I wouldn't have to wear mascara.

Yes tiniting is good as you only need to do it every 6 weeks or so and then nothing in between. It can be a bit stingy though so not sure if you are up for that part!!!
Thank you for your replies. I'm not sure about the tinting as my eyes water at the very thought of anything going near them. I had to get a pharmacist to put drops in my eyes once and they were laughing at me because it was near impossible :) A life without mascara it might have to be.

I'm a beauty therapist and i have tinted many sensitive eyes!
First step is to select a salon and ask them to do a patch test on your arm 24hours before hand. They'll put a small amount of tiny behind your ear near the hair line or on your inner elbow. It will stain your skin as a small doe for a few days, but if you have no reaction to that then your eyes should be fine. If you have any kind of reaction, you know not to have it done.
It takes about 20 mins all up, usually the therapist will put vaseline under your eyes to stop any staining, and this is the worst part. Some people get a little watery in the eyes but its no problem. Then you close your eyes and they stay shut for the next 10 - 15 mins while the tint is applied. Some people get a little stinging, others don't, but if you are uncomfortable then ask the therapist to take the tint off straight away. A good therapist will give you a fantastic head or hand massage as it develops to relax you.
Then they wipe it off with a little water and you have fabulous eyelashed for 4 - 6 weeks!

I have very sensitive eyes as well:( and the last eye lash tint I had made my eyes burn and itch. I had to take antihistamines to settle them down. Believe it or not Aldi used to have a sensitive mascara that was great for my eyes..BUT I haven't been able to get it lately:( Let me know if you find one please
