Baby Sling

Has anyone made a baby sling? I wasn't too keen on using one myself due to neck issues but dh really likes it and bub seems to like it too. I actually have 3 of them but they are all the same type which is with the padding etc and they are all pretty bulky. I have been recommended the ellaroo ring sling from a lovely BB girl as it folds us for your handbag and is really versatile. Has anyone made something like that and do you have a pattern I could borrow/buy from somewhere? I thought I could make one with my brand spanking new sewing machine (a birth gift from MIL). I haven't made anything on a sewing machine since I was about 16 so I hope a sling wouldn't bee tooooo hard?

Yep I've made a few.

I used the Karma Slings pattern for my peanut shell sling, and the Ballbaby overall pattern for my mei tei and I love both of them equally as I use them for different things.
For the shell one I got some duckcloth on special at Spotters for $4 a metre so the whole thing was very cheap.
