Df wants to give ds a bottle of formula made up with filtered water that hasn't been boiled. He won't listen to me that it's not safe, how can I convince him?
So much for a night off and getting some time to myself, this is 10000x mire stressful!

I wouldn't be worried about it. I know lots of people up here that never give their kids boiled water.
It's not ideal, but maybe a compromise is bottled water?
Never gave Charlotte boiled water at all either when she drank water (she never used formula) I wouldn't be concerned.
I'm not sure how old your child is due to being on my iPhone.
Firstly hugs. Why do things have to be so hard in parent partnerships.
Bottled water should not be used to make up formula. I remember when I did my diploma (11 years ago) there was a study about ppl who made bottles up with bottled water only and the children suffered a diffiancy (sp?) of something. I can't remember what sorry
It is best to use boiled tap water only.
Thanks everyone, ds is 5 1/2 mths and exclusively bf, so I guess it's not going to do that much harm for this once! He only ended up taking around 20mls before falling back asleep so really a bit of a non-issue! Lol
Hun, if your DH is going to give bottles every now and then, it might make you feel more comfortable to have some EBM in the freezer. This will avoid worries and arguments at a stressful time - you can just thaw some EBM and know that it's safe.
