having second thoughts... what would you do

Dh and I have been ttc for awhile now but I got the news that I will be made redundant at the end of this year. We need two incomes to survive comfortably.

Anyway, ive been qarguing with him because he was thinking of delaying ttc for another 6mths.

I told him that money cannot bring back the health of my eggs due to me being 31 soon.

So we agreed to continue on and I went to see a specialist as I am having issues with af.

Come tonight, my ex workmate emails me about a job opportunity.

Obviously I cannot start the job until next yr due to my redundancy requiremnt.

So I was thinking maybe I should delay taking clomid and wait until I complete my probational period in a job?

What would you do?

So torn. I really really want a baby but also want to be able to provide comfortably for the new bub .[HTML][/HTML]

Will the job opportunity be available then?

Why is it that you want to put ttc on hold? Is it because you are hoping to get a new job which has maternity pay? Are you planning on returning to work straight away so that you have two incomes?

2 years ago i put off changing jobs for the same reason that i didn't want to have to leave a new job in the first year.
but after not falling pg for soooo long i decided what will be will be. i changed jobs in oct last year and im still not utd.
i figure if thats what it takes your body to relax and get utd then i would take that chance.

Not for the paid maternity leave but rather know that i will have a job to return to and so i can take a year off knowing that we will be okay when i return to work.

Lulliloo i also have the same issue as we have tried for a while now with nothing but will be going on clomid soon and i am also worried that it will take me extra long to get utd.

Go for the new opportunity, don't delay anything, just roll with it and see what the universe gives you. You'd feel like time was wasted if you dlayed Clomid only to have it take 5 months. But you'd be thrilled if it worked first time, and after so long ttc, I think work issues would fade into the background.

I was going to stay in a job just the security factor of a job to return to.. i'm glad i didn't coz TTC took a bit longer than we thought and i would still be stuck in that job... I took up a new job... waited 3 months, then started trying... got pregnant 4 months later.. I guess ask yourself.. IF you get pregnant in the next 6 months, could you guys manage financially? would there be a way for that to work? if so.. even though u'd have to compromise on things... then keep trying. If there is no way humanly possible that you could survive financially, then there is your answer.
