13 months old and started night waking again?

Hi

My 13 month old has started night waking again this week and am wondering if this common at his age. I don't think its his teeth as he settles and will actually go back to sleep once he is in my arms but as soon as I put him back into his cot he wakes either immediately or a few minutes later and starts screaming. Last night was the worst as he was up from 11.30pm until about 3.00am when he eventually went to sleep in the bed beside me only to wake bright eyed 3 hours later!

Any thoughts on what might be causing it or is it just one of these things that they do and "it shall pass"?

I think it's normal, well...I HOPE it's normal!

When my Moo turned one he started fighting sleep and waking up again through the night. He would scream hysterically! Nothing would help, not even rocking. We would usually just let him play for 30 mins because it was the only thing that stopped the screaming. Most of the time he'd go back to sleep again after this.

But I can totally relate and it's so exhausting, especially if they've been sleeping through for awhile. I think the longest he stayed awake for was 3.5 hours overnight! Moo just kinda got over it after a couple of weeks and started sleeping through again.
