Have kindy rules changed for SA?

Hi!

Hoping someone here can help me? I have heard from a couple of different sources that kindy rules will be changing for SA, but have looked on DECS website and nothing new comes up there.

In particular, I have heard that instead of 4 half days per week, the sessions will be increasing to 5 half day sessions from next year. DD will be starting in term 3 next year, so am trying to get some semblance of a plan for when I go back after mat leave with this one on the way.

That actually started this year hun

Kindy is now 15 hours per week. Ours does Monday to Friday for 3 hours per day in either the morning or afternoon. Or you can do 2 full days and 1 half day.

Funny though, that when I enrolled DD earlier this year they only said 4 half days? Did it come in later than May perhaps? Also seems a bit dumb that the DECS site hasn't been updated.

Never mind, at least I know what's going on now!

I am pretty sure ours started back in January, but I am not 100% sure. Ashton only started full time this term but it was well and truly established by the time he started. I was under the impression that all Kindy's made the change at the same time. Our Kindy fees increased due to the extra hours.
