Just wondering if anyone's used the 3 day potty training program?

We started last night (DS decided h didn't want to use a nappy anymore)on my DS who is 3yrs and 2 months old and it's so far working a treat! He's had 3 accidents total in 16 hours.... 2 just before he fell asleep last night ( admittedly, one he'd gotten out of bed and whizzed on the floor but he knew what was happening) and he woke up DRY this morning after sleeping all night!
Daddy missed his first whizz this morning, but the next 4 DS has told us, held on and whizzed in the toilet. I'm not sure how poos will go... fingers crossed it's just as easy as the wees have been so far.

I will let people know if they are interested in our progress. I'm so impressed with him so far.

can i ask, what is the 3 day potty program and how dose it work? my son is 3 and ive been trying for months, some days he gets it and goes great, other days just dont ask!!!!

Search for it in google. It's a US site... they sell an ebook (which isn't too expensive) and I've read it and we're on day one.
He's had 4 accidents total, but gone to the toilet more times than that. It's been great.
The key to it is, once you take the last nappy off... they stay off for good. No training pants, nothing. And you also get them wearing jocks/underwear the whole time and not let them run around naked.

My sister used it with her eldest when he was about 2.5 years old and it was amazing! Toilet trained in 3 days - honestly!!

DS has just pooed on the toilet! He is getting to the toilet for all of his wees and we've only been doing it for 21 hours!! I'm amazed!!

Fingers crossed tomorrow is just as good. :)

Today has been even better. 1 accident overnight, 1 very early this morning and nothing at all since. :)

I heard of this the other day, another Mum was telling me about it!

DD is doing really well with TT at the moment (she's guiding us) however I think closer to my due date next year if DD isn't toilet trained by then, I'm going to look at doing this 3 day thing although I'm hoping I won't need to.

My best friend used this with her then 26 month old and it worked a treat. I saw him on Day 4 - no accidents during the day and only 1 over night (he was a bit slower overnight). I fully intend to use it with DS during the summer after he turns 2.

The only accident we've had is a #2 which we will hopefully conquer over the next day or so, but I'd pretty much call him day trained. No accidents from just before 9am this morning until now.
I will be using this method for my daughter over summer aswell :)

cool, i googled it, and someone has put up the file of it, so i just printed it out, he has the rest of this week to sort his issues he has out, if not then im giving this one a shot!!

Well today has been AMAZING! Not once has he whizzed anywhere BUT the toilet! No accidents at all ( not including the single accident he had overnight... the night's might take just a little longer).
#2's we haven't mastered yet, but we've mastered the whizzes! He hasn't needed a change of jocks all day (will after his bath), but this is awesome!!!
I never imagined it to be this easy!

Just wanted to update saying that we had a totally dry night. He slept all night, woke at 7.30 and called out that he needed to go to the toilet. Awesome.

All in under 4 days!!!!

im starting it very soon, the only problem i have is were she suggests taking a potty in the car on outings that cant be avoided.... i have to get the bus so putting some thought into that one!

To those of you using this program, are your kids big night wetters? DS1 was interested in tt about 3 months before I had DS2 but hasn't shown any interest in it since and refuses to even talk about it. He is sleeping all night most nights and wears a size larger nappy to bed than during the day and wakes up with a very full and wet nappy, sometimes even with leaks onto his singlet and the bed... I'm curious about how going straight to undies at night would work... I'm bfing DS2 and getting up 2 or 3 times at night as it is, just don't think I could cope with changing pjs, sheets etc for DS1 as well... so how do the nights go?

Hi everyone, sorry for the slight tangent but:

I'm using it (we're on day 2) and my little boy doesn't seem to be getting it. :( He's now ignoring me when I ask if his undies are dry etc, even though he gets a reward for having dry undies, and demoralisingly, I turned my back on him for a second, and in that time he had a wee.

The other times I have caught him weeing, i take him off to the potty straight away, mid-wee, which is fine, but he doesn't seem to get that he needs to take himself there too. Has anyone had these kinds of problems? can anyone offer any ideas? Am I being too impatient?

How old is your son?
I know of people who haven't had much success until day 3. By day 3 they normally get it. My DS was a bit older than the norm, so understood a little more. Even know of someone who had their child nearly get it, but still having accidents on day 3, to being totally dry day 4.

DS still has the occasional night where he will wet the bed, and I totally expect that. I expected him to not really get it for at least a week... but we were lucky.
He also has #2's totally under control within 2 weeks of starting.
