What is happening?

I need your :help: .

I'm still expecting AF - and am now up to day 48 (since 1st day of last AF). It's confirmed I'm not pregnant :crying: .

Last Friday I went for a U/S (including internal) and was told everything on the inside is looking fine - and my bloods are all good too. The only item of note was that the wall of my cervix is thicker than normal - but is still ok. The scanner said it appeared AF should be here soon by the looks of things - but no tell tale signs indicate that is the case.

I guess I'm getting frustrated - that AF is rarely on time - and need to vent. It's like something must be wrong with me - but all tests and everything says I'm all OK. The only other thing I can think of is that I came off the Pill 6 months ago - could that have anything to do with my frustrations?

Has anyone else experienced something similar - and what positive outcomes came from it.

Hi Leesa, sorry for your frustration.

I had an u/s about 12mths ago and it also said the lining of my uterine wall was thicker than normal, which only meant AF was due (which from memory it arrived a few days after the u/s). They spotted cysts on my ovaries (some but not enough to be diagnosed with PCOS I think), did they say anything about cysts in your results? My GP said I have polycystic ovaries but almost 50% of the female population have this, but this could be why your cycles are irregular? I assume you are TTC so maybe you could try temp taking etc to pinpoint ovulation? I hope you get the answers you are looking for.

Hi Leesa. I came off the Pill almost 10 months ago and was 2 weeks late with my last cycle, so it can happen. My AF is due pretty soon (I hope!), if nothing by this time next week I'll be in the same boat again.

Hope you get everything sorted soon! BTW, your bloods should have pinpointed where in your cycle you are, so they will be able to say if AF should be one, two or more weeks off. Hope someone can tell you that!

I am in the same boat at the moment. I know I am not pregnant because I am getting the tell tail signs of AF and no pregnancy symptoms and I am just waiting for AF to arrive.
I am also like 17DPO and finally got my DIP this morning to confirm that AF is coming sometime soon!!

I hope that something happens for you soon because there is nothing worse than waiting and waiting...it just feels like that's all we ever do!!

Its a bit frustrating with the lack of specialising Dr's I have in my area. I live 3 hours north from Adelaide - and although we do have GP's - they are not really my choice of GP's. But at least I get referalls when I need them.

No mention of cysts on ovaries. I just don't understand if AF is ready to come -then why is she waiting!! She doesnt need an invite - and I'm 38 DPO - or there abouts.

I know what you Tamara - waiting and waiting! Urgh!
