Ok so I got my sample of Rockin Green in the post today, which was in time for a nappy washing day :)
I followed the instructions - soaked then washed and really don't see any difference in my nappies than when I wash them with my soap nuts or eco store powder.
Am I doing something wrong?? After reading the reviews etc I kinda expected more I suppose.
I noticed mine were a lot softer after they'd dried. A bit more absorbent too. But DH had used something he shouldn't have at one point or another.
I think it also depends on how old the nappies are themselves as to what difference it makes. If your nappies are in great condition, theres only so much difference that will show. :)
I felt the same after washing mine with the sample... but I agree with Kamarine that I noticed they were softer once they dried. My old microfibre inserts still look discoloured but some of the stains did come out better in the sun afterwards, compared to sunning them after a regular wash.
Mine are certainly cleaner looking, but mine also leaves a really nice smell.
If you have a look at the ingredients there isn't much difference between RG and eco store powder. I haven't noticed a difference.
Thanks guys, about to go and get them off the line so will have another look. I got the raspberry smelling one, so will go and do another sniff test now they are dry :)
My nappies are relatively new (6months regular use) but since DD has started on solids a few weeks ago I've found the urine as well as the poo smells are a bit stronger.
glad I saw this... I was going to get some rockin green, but I might not bother now. I have been using Eco Store since forever!:
