Both kids have had a cold for about a wekk.
DD has developed a big scab under her nose, and just tonight I have noticed a dotty rash on her arms, nappy region and a few on her torso. The dots are red and about the size of a pin head.
DS now has a huge crusty looking sore above his lip, that to me looks like a coldsore. He has asecond one coming up next to it.
What do you think they have? Do you think that they have both caught the cold sore virus??
Hmmm, whatch those spots for awhile and see what they do. Wierd about the cold sore things. It could be cold sores as well as something else?
coldsores are a virus, a bunch of them are very similar. It sounds like a virus has got into both of their systems. If they have fevers or complain of sore necks or headaches, probably worth getting checked by a dr.
I was thinking that it could be a viral rash from the cold sore breakout. I am not sure how they would have contracted the virus. It is hard to get ds to stop touching it.
My DD got what looked like a coldsore when she was sick the Dr said it wasnt a cold sore but a secondary infection just a viral thing so it could jsut be that. The rash sounds as though it could also just be a viral rash but defiantly keep an eye on it ( im no expert!!)

It turns out DS has Impetigo (staph) and a middle ear infection with a possibility of a perforated eardrum.
DD has the Molloscum viris and hives.
Between them both, they are just full of disease
I have become increasingly worried about DS. It looks like there is a staph infection in his ear nowm and it has a terrible smell. He also seems to have an infected eye. I am booking him in the the GP first thing in the morning, but I really hope it isn't serious.
Oh babe, you just can't win.

i was going to say impetigo my ds had it around his ear too n it was awful looks disgusting n the smell is horrid... did they giv u cream or ear drops???
u really do have ur hands full and poor lil ones :( its the stupid weather blowing all these infections around i swear...
