DD has been a misery for about 24hrs now. Really clingy, grizzly, sooky. Not sleeping for more than 1hr at a time (night included yaaawn), lots of dribble and saying "ow" a lot. When we ask where it is ow, she says mouth or points to her mouth.
Does this sound normal to you for the 2yo molars?
It is a lot worse than the rest of her teeth were coming thru. The only thing that has stopped her crying all day today has been Dora or Diego.
could she have an ear or throat infection?
For DD1, it was baaaaaad. Not so bad with DD2. Like Olive has suggested though, get her throat and ears checked out though.
I was going to ask what Olive did. I'd be more inclined to think it was ears or tonsils if it has been sudden like that.
My two got their 2yo molars at 14months for DD and 11months for DS with all the rest of their teeth and we didn't even notice anything amiss.
It does seem very sudden but linked to food... Throat maybe? She seems to try to eat and cry? Then generally spit it out again.
Gave her some panadol but she's still rotten and sad and miserable.
If it were the molars, they'd be sore to touch, right? DH just rubbed his finger all round her mouth and she didn't seem to react at all...
has she got a temp? will she let you look at her throat with a torch?

Sounds more like a bug - we had hardly any problems with 2-yr-molars, but that may be due to amber teething necklace.
Yeah, our molars were a walk in the park (relatively speaking) compared to the earlier teeth. It's probably different for everyone.

Our Molars were a walk in the park too compaired to the other teeth. It was only today actually that i noticed he had 4 new teeth :o

Yeah it really doesn't sound like the teeth based in what everyone's saying and our prodding. Hmm.
We tried to peer into her mouth but it wasn't too successful.
I think if she isn't back to normal by tomorrow afternoon I might take us to the GP.
If I stick my fingers into DD2's mouth there are 2 huge hard lumps in her bottom gums and she laughs and smiles when I rub them as I think it feels good. Apaprt from that I wouldn't know she was getting new teeth.
yep sore throat would be my guess too. When DD has tonsillitis she won't swallow anything (hence the spitting out), nor will she open her mouth for me to look because it hurts too much.
