I attacked my oven yesterday!
OMG I am so sick to my stomach!!! How the hell did i let it get that bad??!!
3 times I totally cleaned it out and sprayed oven cleaner...and there is STILL gunk on the roof!!!!
My hands are so nice and polished from the cleaning product....(Im not a glvoes girl :lol:)
so fess up...make me feel better
when was the last time you did more then cook in yours??
I last cleaned mine 3 months ago and Im going to do it again on Monday when the kids arent home.
i cleaned mine last week because we moved out, before that...well i'd never done it, so 15 months! oopsies
Um, well, I think, actually I know :rofl: It was when I moved in 1 yr ago!!
We cook our roasts in bags or in the webber, so we don't have too much mess in the oven thank goodness! It's one heck of a job though isn't it?!
i havent cleaned it yet... but weve been here 2 months now, so i should get onto it!
Better yet how often SHOULD I do it? I have 3 monthly inspections so I do it then but realistically how often is ideal?
Ummmm I am kinda ashamed to admit I use an oven cleaning company about once a year to clean mine......it's the one house luxury I have......and yep some call me lazy bones too ;)
I do give it a wipe over every now and then, but not a proper clean out

now that I have one that "cleans itself" I do it every couple of months but prior to that I used to do it when we moved out of a place which was approximately ever 12/18 months but I also avoided cooking fatty things in it to minimise the need to clean it.
OMG a LONG time but DH just cleaned it on the weekend!! I can't believe how gross it was ewwwww........

umm before that i had only ever cleaned it once before and we have had the oven for 10 years oops!!
but i do wipe it over when something spills and it was bad but not really gross bad
I did mine a year ago. I was house-sitting at Mum's last October (09) and she asked if I could do her oven. So when I got home I did mine as well. That is the last time, and it desperately needs doing again
Umm... do I have to tell? :hide: I can't remember. I gave it a wipe out a little while ago.. I keep putting it off cause I know it's gonna be bad :(
Have only recently cleaned my oven...but that's only because there was something burnt on the bottom :ROFL:
Think I'd rather buy a new oven!
2 years ago by a professional cleaner, about to be done again by a professional cleaner before we move, but in saying that, the oven has been used about 10-20 times in that 2 year period.
i cleaned mine last week but before that it must have been about 12-18 months!
:ROFL: OMG we are to alike!!!! Ive talked J man into getting one, along with a new stove top next year....and he tell's me if he's going to do that he may aswell do the entire kitchen new :dance: :ROFL::

I do the outside frequently but yeah the inside, well we put a new oven in just after we moved in, so about 18mths ago, and I've never cleaned the inside!!!
