Mastitis????or something else????

Ok can someone tell me the symptoms please?

I have not noticed any lumps but DS has just switched to one bb per feed and I am not expressing as much.

I have not noticed sore bb ( any more than usual ;) ) but am going hot/cold and it's getting more intense. My head feels hot but is cold to touch and my body feels cold but hot to touch??

I can't sleep as my body aches all over. I had a slight sore throat the other day but nothing that required meds. I just thought I had been talking too much again lol.

I'm just worried about whatever it is will impact on DS?

I also thought slap cheek as I've never had that either?

Your symptoms could be caused by many things. Mastitis usually presents with a sore area on your breast. This sore area is also often red and warm to touch. Check your breasts all over for tenderness and a warm red area. If you are unsure it is always wise to get things checked out.

Bb have a tingle like someone is stabbing them with a needle. And my back pain is worse than my labour (postera).

That's how my boob felt when I got mastitis. It started off one morning with a pain as you described on almost the underside of my boob but with no lump. The following day I woke up feeling I had been hit by a truck and DH dragged me off to the Drs for ABs. Head to the Dr tomorrow chick and see what they have to say. Hope you're feeling better soon xx

could be thrush...

for me they thought it was mastitis (i had it 2 weeks prior) but the stabbing pain between the feeds was what got the LC thinking. i had bad back ache, and hot/cold flushes. DD got really fussy at the breast and then developed a white coating on her tongue and a bit on her upper palate. the stabbing pains i had through the boob and it felt like it was also coming through the back near the shoulder blades itms...
